Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has welcomed an International Fight Week bout with former opponent Charles Oliveira after ‘Do Bronx’ mentioned fighting ‘Blessed’ for BMF Title. Charles Oliveira vs Max Holloway Rematch In International Fight Week? Former UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway wants to put his BMF Title on the line against Charles Oliveira this summer. This comes after ‘Do Bronx’ said in an interview that he would like to rematch ‘Blessed’ for his BMF status. Holloway responded via social media, simply writing “International Fight Week?” in a response on X (formerly Twitter). It seems that both Oliveira and Holloway are up for the fight, leaving it up to UFC President Dana White to no get the ball rolling and try and get the fight made. International Fight Week is traditionally hosted in June in Las Vegas by the UFC, but there have been no official announcements yet for this year’s pay-per-view. However, it is highly likely there will be an event in June at the T-Mobile Arena, potentially headlined by Oliveira vs Holloway 2. Both Holloway and Oliveira are former UFC champion, with Max having previously held the 145-pound belt and Charles being the 155-pound king before losing to Islam Makhachev. Now, 10 years on from their first fight, UFC fans could be in for a treat with a rematch between the two MMA greats. The first fight back in August 2015 was cut short due to Charles Oliveira suffering an injury, meaning it officially went down as a Max Holloway knockout victory. Both fighters have come on leaps and bounds since their first meeting, and a rematch in International Fight Week at the top of a huge UFC pay-per-view card would be an epic headliner. Time will tell if it happens or not! A fight between the pair to determine the ‘Baddest Motherf***er’ would be on welcomed by fans and one that would most definitely steal the show. ‘Do Bronx’ is chasing a rematch with Islam Makhachev and another shot at the UFC Lightweight Title, but in the aftermath of Makhachev’s recent win at UFC 311, the Dagestani fighter revealed he won’t be fighting now until October. Oliveira later told UFC Brasil that he would be willing to face Max Holloway for the BMF Title if indeed Makhachev is out of action until October. “If he [Makhachev] only wants to fight in October, I definitely want to fight before that. So why not challenge Max Holloway for the BMF Title?” the Brazilian said in an interview with UFC Brasil after UFC 311 concluded. International Fight Week? — Max Holloway (@BlessedMMA) January 21, 2025 The Hawaiian MMWA superstar simply responded by saying, “International Fight Week?” It seems both men are up for a rematch, so now it’s down to Dana White to make it a reality. If this proposed match-up comes to fruition, Oliveira would likely be a slight favourite with the best UFC betting sites. The fight would be at lightweight, ‘Do Bronx’ is the bigger guy, and is on a winning streak. Meanwhile, Holloway lost his last fight to Ilia Topuria for the UFC Featherweight Title when he was knocked out for the very first time.
