Friday Transfer Rumours Roundup

Bayern Munich Step Up Marc Guehi Pursuit

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are stepping up their interest in Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi.

Sky Germany report that the Bavarians are set to hold talks with the England international next month, with his contract at Selhurst Park due to expire at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Guehi will not be penning a new deal, meaning he will be available to sign on a free transfer.

Alongside Bayern, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in the centre-back.

The 25-year-old came close to joining Arne Slot’s Reds for ÂŁ35m on deadline day last summer, however Palace were unable to find a suitable replacement in time, so the move fell through.

Despite their clear interest in Guehi, Bayern’s main priority is to extend Dayot Upamecano’s contract. His current deal at the Allianz Arena is set to expire at the end of the campaign.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be monitoring his situation, while Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool are in the race for Upamecano too.

Chelsea and Manchester United Eye Sunderland’s Sadiki

Sacha Tavolieri reports that Chelsea and Manchester United are competing for Noah Sadiki.

The DR Congo international, who joined Sunderland from Union Saint-Gilloise for an undisclosed fee last summer, has impressed at the Stadium of Light in his debut campaign in England.

His performances are attracting a lot of attention, with the Blues and United stepping up their pursuit of the midfielder, and the pair are ready to go head-to-head for his signature.

It is reported that Chelsea enquired about the 20-year-old’s asking price immediately after their 2-1 defeat by the Black Cats at Stamford Bridge towards the end of October.

This is typically a sign of serious interest from the West Londoners.

United, meanwhile, are long-term admirers of Sadiki. Ruben Amorim’s side approached the player’s representatives at the start of the season amid their search for midfield reinforcements.

The Red Devils are also interested in Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, as reported in Wednesday’s transfer roundup, but should he prove too expensive, they could turn their full attention to Sadiki.

Tottenham Looking To Offload Yves Bissouma in January

Tottenham are looking to sell Yves Bissouma in January, according to The Times.

The Mali captain hasn’t featured for Spurs this term, and off the back of several disciplinary incidents, the club are ready to cut ties and will look to offload the midfielder this winter.

If they are unable to agree on a sale in January, Tottenham plan to take up an option to extend his contract by a year, as they are confident they could get him off the books in the summer.

He is likely to move abroad, with Nice and Marseille among the interested parties.

Crystal Palace Keen on Bayern Right-Back Sacha Boey

Fabrizio Romano reports that Crystal Palace are keen on Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey.

The Frenchman is expected to move in January, with Palace mooted as a potential destination. Juventus, West Ham, Lyon and more have also been credited with interest in the past.

Boey has made 14 appearances for Bayern across all competitions this term. His addition to Oliver Glasner’s squad would provide healthy competition for Daniel Munoz at right-back.

Munoz is currently out with a knee injury and is expected to be sidelined ‘for a few weeks’.

MLS Would ‘Welcome Mohamed Salah With Open Arms’

Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber says the MLS would welcome Mohamed Salah ‘with open arms’ should he decide to leave Liverpool during the January transfer window.

Salah is being linked with a move away from Anfield following his outburst last week.

The Egyptian claimed that the club have thrown him ‘under the bus’ after being benched in three consecutive matches and after failing to come on in the 3-3 against Leeds last Saturday.

Al Ittihad currently top the latest Mo Salah next club odds, while MLS duo San Diego and Chicago Fire also feature in the betting market amid reported interest in the 33-year-old.

Garber has now spoken on the links between clubs in the league and Salah and has urged the two-time Premier League champion to discuss MLS life with Lionel Messi and Thomas Muller.

Messi plies his trade for Inter Miami, while Muller plays for Vancouver Whitecaps.

Should he decide to leave Merseyside this winter, whether that be for the MLS, Saudi Pro League or elsewhere, Saturday’s clash against Brighton is set to be Salah’s last game for Liverpool.

Arne Slot is due to hold crunch talks with the winger on Friday morning.
