Liverpool star Mohamed Salah may have already played his last ever game for the club.
Salah will miss Inter vs Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday after being omitted from the Reds’ squad for the trip to Milan following his explosive outburst at the weekend.
The Egyptian, who was named on the bench for a third successive match and was an unused substitute in his side’s 3-3 draw against Leeds, accused the club of throwing him ‘under the bus’.
He also admitted that his relationship with Arne Slot is non-existent.
Unsurprising given his comments, the winger is now being linked with a move away in January.
Al Ittihad currently lead as favourites in the Mohamed Salah next club odds market, while fellow Saudi side Al Hilal are credited with an interest alongside MLS duo San Diego and Chicago Fire.
Set to link up with Egypt for AFCON next week, Salah’s final opportunity to play for the Reds before the January transfer window opens will be against Brighton at Anfield on Saturday.
Should he push through with a move, the Seagulls’ visit could be his last ever game for Liverpool.

He himself admitted that this could be the case during his outburst at Elland Road on Saturday, stating: “This club, I always support it. My kids will always support it. I love the club so much I will always do. I called my mum yesterday – you guys didn’t know if I would start or not, but I knew.
“Yesterday I said to them, come to the Brighton game. I don’t know if I am going to play or not but I am going to enjoy it.
“In my head, I’m going to enjoy that game because I don’t know what is going to happen now.
“I will be in Anfield to say goodbye to the fans and go the Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON]. I don’t know what is going to happen when I am there.”
If he does depart this winter, and should he fail to feature against Brighton, his last ever game for the club came as a second-half substitute in last week’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland.
Should he outlast Slot though, who is heavily under pressure after a poor string of results, he may opt to remain in Merseyside. This isn’t likely according to the Salah vs Slot Liverpool exit odds, with the former favoured to depart ahead of the latter at a price of 8/11.
Salah To Travel To AFCON Next Monday
Salah is due to join up with the Egypt squad for AFCON on Monday, 15 December.
If he and his country make it all the way to the final, as they did in 2021 and 2017, he will remain unavailable for Liverpool until their clash against Marseille on 21 January at a minimum.
This means he’d miss out on six matches, with clashes against Tottenham (A), Wolves (H), Leeds (H), Fulham (A), Arsenal (A) and Burnley (H) all scheduled to be played during AFCON.
Of course, it is entirely possible that he will no longer be a Liverpool player by that point.
The Reds remain fully committed to Salah and his contract, which runs until the summer of 2027, according to The Athletic, however reconciliation may no longer be an option after his outburst.
Egypt and Salah get their AFCON campaign underway against Zimbabwe on Monday, 22 December. Group B fixtures against South Africa and Angola follow on December 26th and 29th.
