Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is set to miss Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Inter despite taking part in training on Monday.
Mohamed Salah Set To Miss Inter Trip Despite Taking Training
Mohamed Salah has taken part in Liverpool first-team training ahead of their Champions League clash against Inter, however reports suggest he won’t be involved in the fixture.
Salah hit out at Arne Slot after the Reds’ 3-3 draw away at Leeds on Saturday, having failed to feature after being named among the substitutes for a third consecutive Premier League match.
Speaking to journalists in the mixed zone, the 33-year-old claimed he’s been ‘thrown under the bus’ by the club and is being made out to be a scapegoat amid his side’s poor spell of form.
He also commented that his relationship with Slot is now non-existent.

Off the back of his comments, Salah is being linked with a January exit from Anfield.
Saudi side Al Ittihad are the current favourites in the Mohamed Salah next club odds market.
Meanwhile, the Reds are reportedly already on the hunt for the Egyptian’s replacement.
Liverpool are interested in Yan Diomande, with the Ivorian youngster netting a hat-trick in RB Leipzig’s 6-0 Bundesliga win over Eintracht Frankfurt in front of Reds scouts on Saturday.
For now though, Salah remains at the club and was pictured taking part in training on Monday. Despite his involvement, report suggest that he won’t travel to Italy for the Inter game.
The Athletic‘s David Ornstein says the reigning Premier League Golden Boot winner is ‘expected’ to be left out of their Champions League squad, although a final decision is yet to be made.
He also writes that the decision is not viewed as a punishment, more as common sense after his remarks at the weekend, while Liverpool want him to stay at the club beyond January.
During training, there was seemingly no tension between Salah and his teammates.
He was pictured laughing and joking with the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Hugo Ekitike, however there was no interaction between Salah and Slot amid tensions between the pair.

Liverpool Trio Absent From Training
While Salah took part, there were three notable omissions from Liverpool training on Monday.
Cody Gakpo, Federico Chiesa and Wataru Endo were all absent from the session.
Gakpo started in the 3-3 draw away at Elland Road at the weekend before being withdrawn for Endo on the 83-minute mark, while Chiesa sat alongside Salah as an unused substitute.
The trio’s status is currently unknown, with Slot expected to provide updates on Monday evening.
His press conference ahead of Liverpool’s trip to the San Siro takes place later on Monday at 18:45, where questions regarding Salah’s future at the club are likely to dominate proceedings.
