Former Chelsea man Chris Sutton has predicted Manchester United will extend their winless run against Fulham this weekend.
Man Utd will visit Craven Cottage for their Premier League Matchday 2 clash on Sunday.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Arsenal at Old Trafford in their Premier League opener.
Ruben Amorim Enduring Rough Manchester United Run
Last weekend, Ruben Amorim oversaw his 15th Premier League defeat in charge of Manchester United. The 1-0 defeat to Arsenal took him to an unwanted Man Utd record, as he became the quickest to 15 league defeats in the Premier League era.
The 20-time English league winners have won just one of their last 10 games in the top flight, losing seven. Owing to their recent track record, UK betting sites have priced them at 7/2 to make the top four this season.
Chris Sutton Makes Man Utd vs Fulham Prediction
Man Utd have spent heavily on summer transfers, signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, among others. Chris Sutton said he liked Mbeumo and Cunha, but he was not confident the Red Devils would get the job done at Craven Cottage.
Making a prediction in his BBC column for Fulham vs Man Utd, Sutton wrote:
“Like a lot of people, I try to be balanced about Manchester United. They lost last week but I do think they will be better this season. Well, they can’t be any worse.
“I really like Bryan Mbeumo and I especially like Matheus Cunha, I think he’s got loads going for him. Fulham were fortunate to get something against Brighton but I think they’ll improve in front of their own fans.”

He added:
“Fulham don’t play with any fear and will take the game to Manchester United which gives me a sneaking feeling United will exploit them and win this one.
“But then again I always predict Manchester United games wrong. I want to be positive about them, but I’m not sure I can be. Plus, I think I predicted Fulham wrong for every one of their matches last season. I’m leaning towards a Manchester United win so, because of that, I’ll go for a draw.”
Sutton’s prediction: 1-1
Manchester United finished 15th in the Premier League last season, while Fulham ended up in 11th place. Ruben Amorim’s side, however, pulled the double over the Cottagers. They beat the London club 1-0 at Old Trafford (Joshua Zirkzee 87′) before repeating the scoreline away from home. Lisandro Martinez scored the winning goal in the 78th minute.
