Lingfield Tips: Bone Marra Fancied In Race Five
Bone Marra is the pick of the day at Lingfield. The three-time winner has done all his scoring on the all-weather and ran a big race when chasing home Rogue Messiah at this track back in April.
Trained by Ollie Sangster and ridden by Steve Donohoe, he’s shouldering top weight but has the profile to carry it in a race that looks there for the taking.
Tiger Beetle is worth an each-way interest in the fourth. He’s had a modest time since switching yards, but ran his best race in a while when third at Chepstow last time.
This is his first run back at Lingfield in over two years, and a return to the Polytrack, a surface that has suited him before, could be the trigger for a much-needed win.
Carlisle Tips: Rogue Passion Backed To Open Her Account
Rogue Passion is fancied to go one better in the second race. Trained by Ed Bethell and ridden by Oisin Orr, she was only narrowly touched off by market rival Celestial over this course and distance last month, and that form looks strong enough to see her go one better this time.
Shipshape has been in great order through the spring and summer and looks a solid follow in the fifth.
He’s strung together a run of competitive figures, shown he handles a range of trips, and the stiff uphill finish at Carlisle should play to his strengths.
Leelawadee also catches the eye in the sixth after running well on her handicap debut at Thirsk. Back down to 1400 metres, she looks capable of following up for Michael Dods’ yard.
Nottingham Tips: Hope Rising Fancied For The Flat-Hurdle Switch
Hope Rising is the standout selection on the card. She scored comfortably at Lingfield last week on the Flat, a rare success for trainer Jamie Snowden away from hurdles, and the switch up to two miles here plays right into a stamina profile built on jumps form. She travelled strongly through the finish last time and looks the one to beat again.
Blessed Voyager is fancied in the second in a race that has cut up on the ground. Both his Newbury win and his odds-on Thirsk defeat read well in context, and he finished that last race strongly enough to suggest more improvement is coming.
Bradbury deserves another chance in the fourth after everything went wrong at Pontefract, where he missed the break and hit trouble in running. A dual winner earlier in the season, he drops back to a return trip of 2000 metres that should suit, and the experience gained since his more headstrong early starts should count in his favour.
Sugar Sugar is an interesting runner in the sixth having opened her account on handicap debut last time out, despite hanging left on the track. An eye shield goes on for this outing, which could sharpen her up further.
Hamilton Park Tips: Baldetti Fancied To Follow Up In Race Two
Baldetti looks the pick of the card at Hamilton after a strong run in defeat against Angela In My Heart at Pontefract, a clear step up from his first start back. Trained by Michael Dods and ridden by Sean Kirrane, he looks fully primed to go one better, with Sea Mirage the one most likely to fill the other side of the exacta.
Point of Contact is worth an each-way look in the fourth. He’s happiest on good ground, which is what he’ll get, and mirrors the profile of his smooth York win back in June. He arrives fresh, and if he’s back to that level, he should be right in the mix.
Tanjen is another each-way option in the opener. A two-time winner on Tapeta last year, she hasn’t quite hit those heights in five tries this season, but showed a flicker of her old form on a recent trip to Chester. A repeat of that from stall one would make her competitive.
Fairydale rounds things off nicely in the seventh. She’s been a work in progress, but this looks her best winning opportunity yet, receiving a fair weight allowance from her rivals off the back of a career-best effort last time out.
