Jamie Carragher has taken another potshot at Mohamed Salah following the Egyptian’s brazen social media post on Tuesday.
While his team-mates are in Italy preparing to take on Inter Milan in the Champions League, Salah has remained at the club to train on his own.
Salah continued to stir recent controversy by uploading a less-than-subtle image to social media of himself alone in the gym, with the Liverpool emblem in the background.
He didn’t caption the image, but no words were required, given the dramatic falling out that has occurred since Saturday.
Jamie Carragher hits back at Mo Salah
Responding to Salah’s post, the former Liverpool defender wrote on Twitter: “I’m not sure I’ve wanted Liverpool to win a game more than tonight for a long time!”
Salah initiated the conflict between the two Liverpool legends on Saturday during his explosive interview following the 3-3 defeat against Leeds.
Among revealing he has no relationship with Arne Slot, and feels he has been made a scapegoat, Salah also said: “Carragher is going to go for me again and again”
Carragher wasted little time in firing back, calling Salah a “disgrace”.
He said: “I thought it was a disgrace what he did after the game. He’s chosen this weekend to do this now, and he’s waited, I think, for a bad result for Liverpool.
“Whether he will play for Liverpool again, I don’t know. I hope he does, because he is one of the greatest players we’ve ever had.”
Carragher continued: “Have I ever criticised Mo Salah on the pitch?
“I think some of the criticism this season of Mo Salah has been excessive. I’ve said that publicly. But I will go after Mo Salah when he tries to throw my club under the bus off the pitch and just thinks about himself. I certainly will do that.”

What next for Mo Salah?
It appears increasingly likely that Salah has played his final game for Liverpool.
After the weekend contest with Brighton, Salah will head to the Africa Cup of Nations on December 15, and his future will likely become much clearer on his return.
His outspoken comments are seemingly a way to engineer a move away from the club during the January window.
Al-Ittihad are the current favourites to secure his signature, and it appears only a mega-rich Saudi club will be able to afford his fee and pay packet after agreeing a new Reds deal at the end of last season.
Al Hilal and Al Nassr are also teams in the running, as they continue to invest heavily in big-name signings to bolster the profile of football in Saudi Arabia.
