The Irons will hold no fear in travelling to Elland Road, a ground where they have not lost in their past four visits (W2 D2).

How Leeds United’s Wasteful Shooting Could Give West Ham Hope
A key factor in deciding the outcome of any game is chance conversion, and this is one area where West Ham might have the upper hand.
Leeds have been shooting far more than any other promoted side, averaging 13 shots per game.
In fact, they are averaging more shots than any promoted side since Leeds themselves back in 2020-21.
But their shot conversion rate is just 6.7% – the lowest of any Premier League team since 2013-14.
With such a poor ratio of shots to goals, Leeds are having to create a huge number of chances in order to score.

Another reason for optimism amongst West Ham fans comes from Leeds’ Expected Goals Against (xGA).
Despite conceding 13 goals, Leeds having an xGA of just 8.68. Only Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester City have a lower xGA.
This suggest that Leeds’ goalkeeping has not been up to standard, with them letting in numerous goals from low-probability chances.
As a result, West Ham could to capitalise and score when the stats suggest they normally wouldn’t.

As well as many stats favouring West Ham, they also benefit from a number of key men missing for Leeds.
Daniel Farke is likely to be without Wilfried Gnonto and Noah Okafor, while Harry Gray is also a doubt.
Both Ethan Ampadu and Pascal Struijk have been ill this week, with neither certain to be recovered for Friday.
Meanwhile, West Ham are boosted by the return of fullbacks Aaron Wan-Bissaka and El Hadji Malick Diouf for the trip to Elland Road.
