Max Dowman Continues To Knock On Arsenal First Team Door
Arsenal protege Max Dowman has caught the attention of football fans already this season, and his latest goal for Arsenal’s youth team has added further claims to his first team credentials.
Dowman was part of Arsenal’s U19 team that defeated Bayern Munich 4-2 in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday afternoon, scoring an outrageous solo goal in the process.
The 15-year-old has already made three appearances for the Arsenal first team, with Mikel Arteta evidently a fan of the generational homegrown talent.
Dowman made his Arsenal debut against Leeds back in August, coming on as a substitute in the Gunners’ 5-0 thrashing of Daniel Farke’s side.
Since then he has played a further four times for the first team in all competitions, with many Arsenal fans calling for him to become a permanent fixture in the first team squad.
Two of Dowman’s appearances have been in the Premier League.
Dowman is yet to make a senior league start under Arteta, but continues to knock on the door as he shows age is just a number with his incredible skill and talent with a football at his feet.
Arsenal look set to win the Premier League title this year for the first time in over 20 years, with Dowman already playing his part in their impressive start to the 2025/26 season.
Goals like this incredible effort against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Youth League will certainly help his chances of selection for first team games on a regular basis at Arsenal.

Will Max Dowman Make Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup Squad?
Without getting too carried away, some Arsenal fans are already calling for Max Dowman to be included in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the 2026 World Cup next summer in America.
Arsenal’s fixture congestion and injury pile-up could give Dowman an England squad boost ahead of the World Cup, but it seems highly improbable that he makes Tuchel’s squad next summer.
That being said, there is no doubt that the youngster will become one of the youngest players to play for the Three Lions if he continues putting in these types of performances on a regular basis.
Dowman became the youngest goalscorer in the UEFA Youth League last term, and has continued his impressive performances this year in the competition, not to mention for Mikel Arteta’s first team.
The 15-year-old is certainly going about his business impressively and most definitely staking a claim to become a first team regular at the Emirates already.
