​Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has expressed concerns regarding Liverpool’s potential level without star right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, amid speculation of a move to Real Madrid.
Scholes thinks that Alexander-Arnold’s departure could significantly impact the Reds’ creativity going forward.

Scholes highlighted Liverpool’s struggles in the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle, where they suffered a 2-1 defeat in Alexander-Arnold’s absence due to injury.
Jarell Quansah filled in but couldn’t replicate the attacking impetus Alexander-Arnold typically provides.
Scholes noted, “I think Liverpool were missing Trent, which you don’t normally say about a right-back. They missed his passes and the number of chances that he creates for Mo Salah throughout the game.”

Real Madrid’s Pursuit of Alexander-Arnold
The 26-year-old defender’s contract with Liverpool is set to expire this summer, making him a free agent.
Real Madrid have shown keen interest, having made an initial bid in January, which Liverpool rejected.
Reports suggest that Alexander-Arnold has verbally agreed to a four-year deal with the Spanish giants, set to commence after his contract ends on June 30, 2025.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has consistently maintained that Alexander-Arnold remains dedicated to the club.
Back in January, Slot stated, “I see him on the training ground every day, working his a** off. He is fully committed to us and he will play on Sunday.”
