Preston North End Kit Spud Bros

Next season’s Preston North End kit will have an eye-catching sponsor, and fans are already sharing their views on it.

On Wednesday, Preston unveiled their new-look kits for the 2025-26 season.

The traditional white shirts do not vary from the expected script. But the bright red lettering of viral food brand SpudBros has caught the attention and has got plenty of people talking.

That’s because the Preston-based creators have developed a global audience on social media, and now want to give back to their home city.

Preston, who reached the FA Cup quarter-finals last season, finished 20th in the Championship.

In a statement on the club’s website, Preston confirmed the partnership with SpudBros.

Describing them as “the UK’s most talked-about food creators”, SpudBros will appear as front-of-shirt sponsor for all Preston first-team playing kit next season.

Preston’s statement read: “What started as a humble hot potato cart in Preston has transformed into a viral sensation, winning millions of hearts (and taste buds).

“From their hometown of Preston to global recognition, Jacob and Harley, aka the SpudBros, have grown a following of over six million and collaborated with some of the biggest names in pop culture, including Sidemen, MrBeast, Will Smith and Alex Warren.”

Lifelong Preston fan and SpudBros founder Harley said: “What more can I say, this is a dream come true. We’re here to help PNE make history.

“Let’s take it to the top this season and show the world what Preston’s all about!”

And fellow Prestonian Jacob added: “Being from Preston, this is a moment we’ve dreamed of. From running around the pitch as mascots to seeing our brand on the front of Preston North End’s shirt – it’s beyond special.

“We’re proud Prestonians and will always give back and support the city that made us.”

In terms of money, this may not be one of the biggest shirt sponsorship deals, but there is a clear connection with Preston.

Fans React To Preston North End SpudBros Kit

But while the sentiment behind the deal has been applauded, not everyone likes the look of Preston’s kits.

One Preston fan said: “Logo should have been blue! Shirt too plain overall but excited to see where the marketing and exposure can go with the new sponsor.”

And rival fans, particularly those from Blackpool, were quick to point out an unfortunate colour issue.

The SpudBros logo on Preston’s home shirt is awfully close to the famous tangerine of Blackpool.

“You’ve made your fans wait this long to then put a tangerine sponsor on the chest?

“Forever in your heads,” responded a Blackpool fan.

But others defended the move, citing the local connection between SpudBros and Preston.

“OMG Local lads supporting north end and all people do is complain. Get a grip,” said a frustrated Preston fan.

Where Is Spud Bros?

Currently operating in central Preston, SpudBros have plans to expand their premises in the city centre.

As well as this, they have also recently opened a pop-up in London’s popular Soho district.

SpudBros Express is located on Archer Street, close to Piccadilly Circus tube stop.

To celebrate the Preston North End kit launch, the club are hosting a special event at Deepdale.

From 10am-3pm on Saturday, 28 June, fans can meet players and get their hands on the new kit.

The first 2,000 to purchase a 2025-26 home shirt will also be given a SpudBros voucher.
