Arsenal are reportedly close to securing the transfer of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
Championship side Queens Park Rangers will also benefit from this move, thanks to the sell-on clause they inserted when Eze moved to Palace in 2020.
Arsenal Agree Deal to Sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace
Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace. According to reports, Gunners have agreed to £67.5 million deal for Eze.
Until Wednesday, Tottenham were 3/10 favourites with football betting sites to sign Eze.

Announcing the transfer, transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano wrote:
“Eberechi Eze to Arsenal, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties.
“Crystal Palace to receive package in excess of £60m as Eze preferred AFC over Spurs. Arsenal win race over Tottenham, been in advanced talks for days but never sealed.”
With Arsenal hijacking the deal in the 11th hour, fans have mocked Tottenham, with some calling them a “disgrace.”
QPR Could Earn Over £7m From Eze Arsenal Transfer
Championship side QPR sold Eberechi Eze to Crystal Palace for £16 million upfront with £4 million in add-ons.
Trusting in Eze’s quality, they also reportedly included a 15% sell-on bonus (via The Times and The Guardian) to his contract. Sky Sports, meanwhile, reported a 20% clause, which would take QPR’s earnings beyond £9 million.
As per the clause, QPR would receive 15%/20% of the profits Palace generated from selling Eze. With Eze closing in on a £67.5 million (£60 million guaranteed + £7.5 million add-ons) transfer to Arsenal, QPR would pocket a minimum of £7.125 million.
QPR Bonus Calculated
Crystal Palace bought Eberechi Eze for £20 million, assuming all add-ons were activated. They are set to sell him for £67.5 million, including £7.5 million in add-ons. Assuming Eze triggers all add-ons during his Arsenal career, the total cost would rise to £67.5 million.
In that case, Palace would register a profit of £47.5 million, taking QPR share to £7.125 million. If Sky Sports’ claim is true and there is a 20% sell on clause, the Championship side would earn a whopping £9.5 million.

Eze Would Be the Most Expensive Crystal Palace Sale
Crystal Palace have done some good business over the years, but none have fetched them a higher fee than Eberechi Eze would.
The Englishman is set to join Arsenal in a deal worth £60 million plus £7.5 million in add-ons. It would make him the most expensive Palace’s most expensive transfer sale of all time.
Michael Olise currently holds the record with £50.8 million, including add-ons.

Although Eze’s transfer to Arsenal seems like a done deal, Palace fans will have one more chance to say goodbye. Manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed Eze will play in the Conference League qualifier against Fredrikstad on Thursday night.
