Forwards
Starting in the front row, Ireland loosehead Andrew Porter gets the number one shirt. Porter hit 99 rucks, more than any other loosehead, as well as being one of only two props to register more than 50 tackles in the competition.
He is joined in the front row by Irish teammate Dan Sheehan. His five tries in the tournament took him to 13 Six Nations tries – the most of any forward in history.
And completing the front row is England tighthead Will Stuart. The Bath prop reached new heights this campaign, stepping round defenders and dominating opponents in the scrum, and is now tipped to be a Lions test starter in the summer.
In the second row, England skipper Maro Itoje secured five turnovers to tie the record and join Ireland legend Brian O’Driscoll on 53 overall in the Six Nations.
Itoje is partnered by French lock Mickaël Guillard, whose barnstorming carries helped propel Les Bleus to the title.
The back row is made up of England’s Tom Curry, Wales captain Jac Morgan, and French number eight Grégory Alldritt.
Curry won a tournament high six turnovers, while Morgan – the only Welshman in the team – set a new record for tackles completed by a Welsh player in the championship (88).
Alldritt, meanwhile, carried more on average than any forward and hit more defensive rucks per 80 minutes than anybody.
Backs
Moving into the back line, Antoine Dupont is a predictable entry at scrum-half. The French captain played just 240 minutes but scored two tries and assisted seven – the most of any player.
Young England fly-half Fin Smith is at ten, with 14/16 kicks for a tournament-high 88% success rate, as well as four try assists.
Italy centre Tommaso Menoncello was superb in both attack and defence, and gets the 12 shirt, with Scotland’s Huw Jones partnering him in midfield.
On the wings Louis Bielle-Biarrey set a new Six Nations record with eight tries, and is expected to pick up the Player of the Championship award.
He is joined on the opposite flank by England’s Tommy Freeman, who scored a try in all five games, becoming the first Englishman to do so and only the third from any nation.
And last but not least, Scotland’s Blair Kinghorn was voted as the fullback of the championship, with a record 580 metres gained.
Kinghorn also topped the tournament stats for offloads (13) and line breaks (9).
