The Rangers relegation odds have been slashed by the oddsmakers at SportsCasting after a disastrous start to the new SPL season – which has seen the Gers winless from their opening FIVE games.

Rangers Relegation Odds Cut From 1000/1 to 50/1 After NO Wins From Opening Games

SPL heavyweights Rangers are in danger of dropping to middleweights or even featherweights according to the betting experts at SportsCasting.

With the Rangers relegation odds being slashed from 1000/1 at the start of the 2025/26 to 50/1.

Yes, these odds with the football betting sites are still big and give them a slim chance of actually being relegated – but the experts are now giving Rangers the same probability as Hearts being relegated.

Plus, they are only just ahead of Hibernian at 28/1 and Dundee United at 20/1 – giving an indication on how the layers currently view Rangers.

The Rangers relegation betting odds slashing has come due a very poor start to the new SPL season – not winning in their opening five games.

Okay, the optimistic Gers fans will say they’ve only lost one of those five – but that did come at home to Hearts last weekend.

They’ve drawn the other four and so will head into their next league game with only FOUR points – and way off the pacesetters Celtic (13 points).

Dundee are favourites to be relegated at 11/10, with Falkirk next best at 7/4.

Pressure Builds On Rangers Boss Russell Martin

Russell Martin Becomes New Rangers Manager
Rangers Boss Russell Martin Under Pressure After Poor 2025/26 Start To The Season

This poor Rangers start to the 2025/26 has also piled on more pressure to boss Russell Martin, with the odds team also updating the next Rangers manager odds market daily.

They are suggesting that former Southampton coach Russell, who only joined Rangers in June 2025 on a three-year deal, could be shown the door quickly if things don’t pick up fast.

Waiting in the Ibrox wings, according to the odds compilers, is Sean Dyche – he’s the 2/1 favourite to be the next Rangers manager.

With former Rangers manager Steven Gerrard, who was the last manager to guide them to an SPL time in 2020/21, next best at 4/1.

Rangers Out To 12/1 To Win SPL, With Celtic Red-Hot Favourites

In tandem to the SPL relegation betting odds, Rangers have also been pushed out to 12/1 to win the Scottish Premier League.

With Celtic the red-hot favourites now at 1/7.

Rangers were also priced at 50/1 at the start of the season to remain unbeaten in the SPL – so that bet can be torn up too.

Rangers Trophy Betting Odds (2025/26)

  • Rangers to win ANY major trophy – 8/11
  • Rangers to win NO major trophy – Evs
  • Rangers to win Scottish FA Cup and League Cup – 9/1

When Did Rangers Last Get Relegated From The SPL?

The last time Rangers dropped out of the SPL was in 2012 when they were relegated to the Scottish Third Division due to financial issues.

Rangers had to then play four seasons in the lower Scottish leagues, until winning promotion back to the SPL in 2015-16.

In their first season back to the Scottish top-flight in 2016-17, Rangers finished third – with Celtic (champions) and Aberdeen ahead of them.

What Are The Rangers Next SPL Fixtures?

With Rangers playing Hibernian in the Quarter-Finals of the Scottish League Cup next (Sat 20th Sept) – their next SPL game isn’t till Sunday 28th September.

All this means with the two teams currently below them in the SPL table – Aberdeen and Dundee – having more recent games, many people are asking when was the last time Rangers were bottom of the Scottish Premier League?

This match is away at Livingston – but on a plus, Rangers have won ALL of their last five clashes against the Livi Lions ‘to nil’. The last time Livingston scored against Rangers was in a 1-1 draw in October 2022.

After this, Rangers will face Falkirk away on 5th October.
