The odds of Tottenham Hotspur signing Eberechi Eze ahead of Arsenal have been slashed by bookmakers in recent hours.
Arsenal have reportedly been pushing to bolster their wide areas this summer, with Crystal Palace star Eze emerging as a top target alongside Real Madrid man Rodrygo.
Tottenham, meanwhile, initially dropped out of the race for Eze, but have rekindled interest in the last few days due to long-term injuries.
Eze reportedly has a £68million release in his contract, but it is only valid until August 15. After the clause expires, Palace can charge a higher premium for the attacker.

Crystal Palace claimed a thrilling win over Liverpool in the FA Community Shield over the weekend.
It was not the best night of Eberechi Eze’s career, as not only failed to score but also missed a penalty in the decisive shootout. The Eagles, however, still came away with a 3-2 victory on penalties.
After the win, Crystal Palace CEO Steve Parish was asked about Eze’s future. While he hoped for Eze to stay, he acknowledged that it was standard for players to come and go.

“Yeah listen, of course but players come and go in football clubs you know.
“I mean it’s a life cycle isn’t it you know. Hopefully they’re still here, that’s what I’d like but we’ll see.”
Marc Guehi could also leave Crystal Palace this summer, with Newcastle United set to battle Liverpool for the defender.
Tottenham in Talks to Sign Eze
For a while, Arsenal looked like the obvious candidate to prize sign Eberechi Eze. Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Gunners could face competition from crosstown rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs had already held talks with Manchester City over the transfer of Savinho.

Odds Tumble on Tottenham Signing Eze Ahead of Arsenal
With Tottenham Hotspur opening talks with Crystal Palace, UK betting sites have shortened their odds of signing Eberechi Eze this summer.
Arsenal are still in the lead, but Spurs are no longer too far behind.

Interestingly, odds seems to be drifting away from the Gunners, while it is shortening for Spurs. The odds of him staying at Crystal Palace have also lengthened in recent hours, stretching to 3/1.
Eze has been at Selhurst Park since joining from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2020. He has since played 168 games for the club in all competitions, scoring 40 goals and providing 28 assists. His contract with the club runs out in June 2027.
