The Great Khali’s wrestling career

Born in Himachal Pradesh, India, he started his professional wrestling career for All Pro Wrestling, first appearing in October 2000. A year later, he signed a contract with World Championship Wrestling and spent eight months there.

In 2006, Rana became the first Indian pro wrestler to be signed to a contract by World Wrestling Entertainment. He made his debut on SmackDown!, and the world got to see The Great Khali.

Rana fought some of the best WWE wrestlers, like The Undertaker and John Cena. In 2007, he won his first World Heavyweight Championship after being the last man standing in a 20-man battle royal event. He would also become the first Indian World Champion in WWE history.

Rana made several appearances on TV shows and in movies. His first film role, in 2005, was in The Longest Yard, starring Adam Sandler. He also appeared in Get Smart and MacGruber.

In 2010, he starred on the Indian reality TV game show Big Boss. The series had multiple seasons, and Rana finished as the runner-up of season four. Even though he was a big guy, he was talented and had a good entertainment career.
