L'Jarius Sneed Drug Test Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs defensive back L’Jarius Sneed is tired of having to provide a urine sample to the National Football League. The “random” drug tests are most certainly not random and he’s annoyed with the process.

Fortunately, the NFL hit Sneed with its request prior to his birthday celebration on Sunday night. He turned 27 on the same day that his team defeated the Bills in Buffalo to advance to the AFC Championship.

Unfortunately, it required him to hang around the facility a little bit longer than he would have liked. Oh well.

Sneed, who is in his fourth year with the Chiefs, played out of his mind during the Divisional Round. Although the box score only reflects three tackles and two assists, it was actually the numbers of his opponent that properly expressed his fantastic outing.

Josh Allen completed 26-of-39 passes in the three-point loss. However, they only amassed 186 yards and one touchdown through the air. Nobody was open down field throughout the entire game.

Stefon Diggs finished with 21 yards on three catches. Dalton Kincaid led the team in receiving with five catches for just 45 yards.

Sneed spent a large portion of his evening across from Diggs and shut down the star pass-catcher. He was awesome. As a result, the NFL wanted to be sure that his impressive performance was not induced by performance enhancing drugs. They made him pee in a cup.

Ironically, the postgame demand came after Sneed allowed his his first touchdown of the year. Buffalo’s lone passing touchdown came on a fantastic throw and catch during the third quarter.

Sneed actually played Khalil Shakir pretty tight. It was great coverage, but it wasn’t enough.

The scoring play marked the first time all season that a wide receiver scored on Sneed. 19 games!

And yet, he was still hit with a “random” drug test.
