2022 Shriners Children’s Open Purse and Payouts: How Much Money Will the Winner Take Home?

The PGA Tour makes a stop in Sin City this weekend for the third event of the 2022-23 season — the Shriners Children’s Open. Patrick Cantlay, Sungjae Im, and Joohyung Kim headline the field from TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
Heading into the final round, it looks like a two-horse race with Cantlay and Kim tied for the lead at 19 under par. No other player in the field will start Round 4 at better than 16 under. So, before we name our third winner of the PGA Tour season, what is the purse for the 2022 Shriners Children’s Open, and how much money will the winner take home?
The winner of the 2022 Shriners Children’s Open will bank $1.44 million

The fall swing is a sleepy section of the PGA Tour schedule every year. There are no major championships, no premier courses on display, and many top-ranked players use this time as a pseudo-offseason.
Because of the weak events and even weaker fields, PGA Tour purses in September and October aren’t especially lucrative. Purses this time of year are normally in the single digits, and that’s exactly what we’re seeing this week.
The 2022 Shriners Children’s Open purse has been set at $8 million, with the winner’s share set at $1.44 million. The winner of the tournament will be the only player in the field who banks more than $1 million, as the second-place finisher will go home with just $872,000.
