Tyreek Hill Shockingly Admits 1 NFL Player Would Beat Him in a Race
Tyreek Hill is nicknamed “cheetah” for a reason. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver’s speed is the stuff of legend. And by many accounts in the NFL, he’s the fastest player in the league now, and possibly ever. In a recent interview, Hill shockingly admitted there’s one NFL player he would lose to in a race, and it’s not even a wide receiver or running back.
Tyreek Hill is fastest guy in NFL

Tyreek Hill never recorded an official time at the 2016 NFL Combine. Instead, he waited for West Alabama’s Pro Day to impress scouts. And man, did he ever impress.
Hill stunned those in attendance as he bolted to a 4.29 40-yard dash. Since 2016, there’s only been one player run a faster time at the Combine, which happened this year with Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs narrowly edging out Hill’s time at 4.27.
While Hill regularly puts his speed on display for all to see during the course of a game, one particular play during a contest last season captured just how impressive the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver’s speed truly is.
In a home contest against the Minnesota Vikings, Chiefs running back Damien Williams broke through the defense, leaving multiple Vikings defenders in his wake. Tyreek Hill, however, appeared to be shot out of a cannon and easily caught up with Williams and escorted him into the end zone on the 91-yard touchdown scamper. Impressively, Hill was clocked at 22.6 mph, which would have been the fastest official recorded speed during an NFL game in 2019 had he been carrying the ball.
Tyreek Hill races against Terrell Owens in viral video

In July, Tyreek Hill posted a video of him racing against former NFL receiver and Hall of Famer Terrell Owens. The video went viral as numerous websites showed an edited clip of the race with Owens narrowly edging out Hill.
What those videos failed to show was Owens had a 10-yard head start and it was a 100-yard dash. While Owens’ speed was impressive at 46 years old, he didn’t win a straight-up race.
In fact, immediately after the 100, Hill and Owens raced again in a 40-yard dash with both starting at the same point. In that race, Hill won convincingly by a few yards. Those attending recorded Hill’s time at 4.37.
Hill thinks Lamar Jackson is faster

Lamar Jackson, like Tyreek Hill, is a speed burner. He’s unquestionably the fastest quarterback in the NFL. Last season, when he won the NFL MVP, Jackson threw for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns and ran for 1,206 yards and seven touchdowns.
EA Sports Madden NFL 21 asked Jackson, its cover athlete, to name the one player in the league he wouldn’t want to face in a race. Jackson never hesitated.
“Cheetah. Tyreek Hill, I’m not racing him. That’s dumb, that’s dumb,” Jackson repeated, emphasizing his belief that Hill is the fastest player in the league.
Interestingly, in an interview with TMZ before tonight’s matchup between Hill’s Chiefs and Jackson’s Ravens, Hill shockingly admitted he thought Jackson would win in a race.
“I done retired from racing, man. So he’ll probably get me right now,” Hill admitted. “Lamar, he’s a G.O.A.T… He’s a dog, man. For him to be that fast and for him to make people miss, like, the way he does is just crazy.”
Whether or not Hill was being humble or actually believes Jackson is faster than him, no one knows for sure. There’s only one way to prove it and that would be like Hill and Owens raced in the summer. Until then, fans will just have to settle for who’s the best player on the field in the 2020 NFL season.
