Max Holloway finally gets his rematch with Alexander Volkanovski in UFC 251, and he could make his backers very happy with an upset win.

Ever since Alexander Volkanovki and Max Holloway dueled for the featherweight title in December, UFC fans have been begging for a rematch. This Saturday, they’re finally getting it at UFC 251. Holloway is back for revenge after losing the first meeting by unanimous decision, but Vegas oddsmakers are giving him a slim chance. If you’re brave enough to bet on Holloway, the underdog can earn you a pretty penny with a win this Saturday.

Alexander Volkanovski defeated Max Holloway via unanimous decision in the pair’s first bout. Vegas oddsmakers seem to think history will repeat itself Saturday.

Volkanovski is a -215 favorite in the rematch, meaning a $215 bet would net you $100 if Alexander “The Great” wins Saturday. Holloway comes in as a +174 underdog. A $100 bet on the American would win you a profit of $174.

The fight is expected to go the distance, according to Vegas odds. The odds for every victory method are as follows:

  • Volkanovski by Points: -105
  • Holloway by Points: +340
  • Volkanovski by KO/TKO: +460
  • Holloway by KO/TKO: +750
  • Volkanovski by Submission: +1500
  • Holloway by Submission: +1700

If you’re feeling frisky, Holloway to win by submission has the highest odds at 17/1. A $10 bet on Holloway by submission would net a cool $170 if it cashes.

You can even wager on how long the fight will last. There are betting options for all five rounds, but the fight to go the distance is the -220 favorite.

Is Max Holloway undervalued with revenge on his mind?

Some UFC fans might be surprised to see Holloway as a huge underdog in his rematch against Volkanovski. After all, Holloway did hold the title belt before Volkanovski took it from him.

Holloway was actually the favorite in the duo’s first bout. He was around a -200 favorite at most sportsbooks for the first meeting. Now he’s a +174 underdog. Is it possible Vegas oddsmakers are overreacting to Volkanovski’s win in December?

It’s impossible to accurately handicap for the revenge factor, but it will definitely be a huge part of the rematch Saturday night. Holloway hasn’t fought since losing the featherweight belt to Volkanovski, so he’s been focused on one thing and one thing only since that night — winning it back.

The first bout was far from a dominant win for Volkanovski, too. He was unable to finish Holloway inside the distance, but the judges gave him the nod after the fifth round.
