Relegation battlers Ipswich welcome Tottenham to Portman Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and our match preview has the latest team news and confirmed lineups ahead of the action.
Ipswich vs Tottenham Preview
Having recorded back-to-back victories in the Premier League for the first time since September, Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham Hotspur side travel to Suffolk to take on relegation-threatened Ipswich in Gameweek 26.
Spurs claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Manchester United last time out, in which James Maddison netted the sole goal, following on from their 2-0 win over West London outfit Brentford in Gameweek 24. Sandwiched in between these two victories, Tottenham were eliminated from the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup after defeats to Liverpool and Aston Villa.

The North Londoners are currently in 12th place in the English top-flight table, seven points adrift of the top half. The Tractor Boys, meanwhile, are 13 points behind in 18th place and are without a win in their last six league matches.
Since their last league victory, a 2-0 triumph over Chelsea at the end of December, they have drawn two and lost four. Their most recent outing ended in a 1-1 draw against Champions League last-16 side Aston Villa away from home.
Kieran McKenna’s side aren’t completely winless in 2025 however, as they beat Bristol Rovers 3-0 in the FA Cup third round last month and overcame Frank Lampard’s Coventry 4-1 in the fourth round two weeks back.
November’s reverse fixture between Tottenham and Ipswich, the pair’s first competitive meeting since the 2001/02 season, ended in a shock 2-1 win for the Tractor Boys, with Liam Delap and Sammie Szmodics scoring the goals.
Ipswich Team News
The hosts will have to make do without Wes Burns (knee), Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles), Christian Walton (groin), Conor Chaplin (knee) and Axel Tuanzebe (suspended) due to their respective injury concerns and suspensions.
Szmodics (ankle), Sam Morsy (abdominal), Leif Davis (knock) and Julio Enciso (knee) are doubts.
Tottenham Team News
Spurs’ absentee list remains an extensive one, with Radu Dragusin (knee), Dominic Solanke (knee), Micky van de Ven (thigh), Richarlison (calf) and Cristian Romero (thigh) still unavailable through injury.
January signing Kevin Danso is also a doubt after picking up a knock last weekend, and so are Heung-min Son (knock), Rodrigo Bentancur (knock) and Timo Werner (thigh).
In more positive news, Postecoglou was able to welcome back previously injured quartet Guglielmo Vicario, Wilson Odobert, Brennan Johnson and Destiny Udogie to the matchday squad last time out.

Ipswich vs Tottenham Prediction
The UK’s best football betting sites have Tottenham as 19/20 favourites to claim all three points at Portman Road on Saturday, while a win for Ipswich is valued at around 14/5 and a draw is priced at 13/5.
Based on recent form, recent results and the reverse fixture, we can see this one being a tightly contested affair. However, given that Spurs have been able to welcome back several key players over the last week or so, we think they’ll have a slight edge in the tie, therefore, we’re backing the visitors to secure a narrow 2-1 win on the road.
Prediction: Ipswich 1-2 Tottenham
