This week sees the Baycurrent Classic take centre-stage on the PGA Tour, with one of Europe’s Ryder Cup winners in the field as well as two of Team USA’s losers.
Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Rasmus Hojgaard are the three Ryder Cup stars in action this week in Japan, with plenty of other world class players in the Baycurrent Classic field too.
SportsCasting are on hand to provide both outright and each-way betting tips as well as in-depth analysis, predictions, a preview and the latest odds.
Baycurrent Classic Betting Tips
SportsCasting‘s golf tips for the final few FedEx Cup events on the PGA Tour yielded a few winners, as did our Ryder Cup betting tips where we successfully backed Team Europe to win as underdogs.
Tommy Fleetwood to be Europe’s top points scorer was also tipped at 11/2, as well as predicting him to win the Tour Championship a few weeks ago.
This week, we are back with a further three selections for the Baycurrent Classic, formerly known as the ZOZO Championship. We have once again selected one outright betting tip and two each-way selections for this week’s event at Yokohama Country Club.
They are as follows:
- Christ Gotterup WIN @ 22/1
- Max Homa E/W @ 35/1
- Tom Kim E/W @ 50/1
Baycurrent Classic Predictions
Chris Gotterup to Win @ 22/1
Two-time PGA Tour winner Chris Gotterup is amongst the favourites with golf betting sites this week at the Baycurrent Classic at odds of 22/1.
The 26-year-old has proved he can compete with the best players in the world week in, week out after a strong season this year.
The American won the Scottish Open back in July after getting the better of career Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy, winning by two strokes in the end.
Since then, Gotterup has had another few strong showings in some of the biggest tournaments in world golf. He finished solo third at The Open Championship at Royal Portrush, before inside the top 10 at both the 3M Open and Tour Championship.
It’s clear that Gotterup is a star in the making and has all the attributes to be one of the world’s best players. With a weakened field this week in Japan, this could be an opportunity for Gotterup to claim another victory.
At odds of 22/1, Chris Gotterup makes obvious appeal and is our outright Baycurrent Classic betting tip this week.
Max Homa Each-Way @ 35/1
In terms of an each-way selection, six-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa is our next betting tip for this week’s Baycurrent Classic.
Although Homa has had a relatively poor year by his usual high standards, there were signings last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship that he was regaining his best form.
The 34-year-old ended up finishing inside the top 20, but was in contention for the first 54-holes. This included shooting a -5 par round of 67 last Thursday.
On his day, Homa is a world class player. He has proved this on countless occasions throughout his career, and could well be on his way back to playing some of his best golf.
Although it has been a frustating year for Homa, he remains a popular player and incredibly talented golfer. If he can replicate some of last week’s form this week, he could be in with a chance of a top 10 finish for sure.
At odds of 35/1, we just couldn’t ignore Max Homa as our first each-way betting tip for the Baycurrent Classic at Yokohama Country Club.
Tom Kim Each-Way @ 50/1
Our third and final selection of our Baycurrent Classic betting tips is that of Tom Kim.
The 23-year-old has already won nine times as a professional golfer, including three times on the PGA Tour. He hasn’t won for around two years now, but has been knocking on the door again of late.
The South Korean finished T11 last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship, which included a six-under-par round of 66 on Friday.
That was in fact Kim’s strongest finish to a PGA Tour tournament this year. Although he may have struggled somewhat with his game, last week’s performance will have filled him full of confidence heading into this week in Japan.
Having won three PGA Tour titles, he is evidently capable of beating anyone and everyone on his day. So, at odds of 50/1, backing Tom Kim to finish inside the top 10 is a no-brainer.
We feel the 23-year-old could be in with a chance of winning some of the $8m prize money, which is almost $5m more than the Open de Espana prize money over on the DP World Tour this week.
Baycurrent Classic Preview
Although the FedEx Cup is complete with Tommy Fleetwood clinching the title, which we predicted in our Tour Championship betting tips, there are still several more PGA Tour events between now and the New Year.
One of which is the Baycurrent Classic, which takes centre-stage in Yokohama, Japan this week. Formerly known as the ZOZO Championship, this event has been on the PGA Tour roster since 2019 when the great Tiger Woods won it.
Former champions such as Collin Morikawa, Hideki Matsuyama and Nico Echavarria are all in action this week at Yokohama Country Club, looking to add a second Baycurrent Classic title to their trophy cabinets.
Colombian golf sensation Echavarria won the ZOZO Championship last year, and aims to go back-to-back in Japan by winning the inaugural Baycurrent Classic 12 months on from his last PGA Tour triumph.
Three Ryder Cup stars are in action this week too, with Xander Schauffele and Morikawa teeing it up for the first time since Team USA’s defeat at Bethpage Black a fortnight ago.
Rasmus Hojgaard is also in action, making his second appearance since his maiden Ryder Cup victory with Europe. He finished inside the top five last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship, so will be confident of another strong week.
It is a straight stroke-play event over 72 holes, with a 36-hole cut at the half-way stage. So, who will reign supreme at Yokohama Country Club this week and claim victory at the 2025 Baycurrent Classic come Sunday after 72 holes?

Baycurrent Classic Odds
Team USA’s Ryder Cup record when playing at home took a huge hit at Bethpage Black, with Luke Donald’s Europeans claiming victory in New York.
Two of Keegan Bradley’s US stars are back in action this week at the Baycurrent Classic in what is their first appearance since the 45th Ryder Cup. One of them is two-time major champion Xander Schauffele, who is the bookies favourite at 10/1 odds.
Collin Morikawa is the other Team USA Ryder Cup player in action, priced as the third favourite at 18/1. Japanese golf star Hideki Matsuyama is second favourite at 14/1, with several other top quality players and big names amongst the favourites.
Rasmus Hojgaard was part of Europe’s winning Ryder Cup team at Bethpage a fortnight ago, and he’s amongst the favourites this week in Yokohama. As is Alex Noren, who was one of Luke Donald’s vice captains.
Several other big names are priced rather lucratively, so be sure to check out the full list off odds at your chosen bookmaker.
