MD3 of the Champions League league phase continues with a further nine fixtures on Wednesday evening, and we’ve selected our best bets ahead of the action.
Three Premier League sides are in action, with Tottenham heading to Monaco, Liverpool travelling to Eintracht Frankfurt, and Chelsea hosting Ajax. All three matches kick off at 20:00.
Spurs remain unbeaten in the competition, having recorded a win and a draw thus far, while the Reds and the Blues boast an identical record of one win and one defeat after two matchdays.
Arne Slot’s side will be hoping for a bounce back performance at Deutsche Bank Park, as their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday extended their losing run to four straight matches.
The remaining fixtures to round off the league phase’s third matchday are as follows: Athletic Club vs Qarabag, Galatasaray vs Bodo/Glimt, Atalanta vs Slavia Prague, Bayern Munich vs Club Brugge, Real Madrid vs Juventus and Sporting vs Marseille.
Read on as we unveil our best bets for five of Wednesday’s Champions League MD3 fixtures.
Champions League Best Bets for Matchday 3
Galatasaray vs Bodo/Glimt Betting Tip (17:45 KO)
Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray host Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt in one of two early kick-offs on Wednesday evening, with the action in Istanbul due to get underway at 17:45.
Both sides picked up strong results against Premier League opposition on MD2.
Galatasaray edged out a 1-0 victory over reigning English champions Liverpool on home turf, while Bodo/Glimt held reigning Europa League winners Tottenham to a 2-2 stalemate.
Looking to build on those performances, our pick here is for both teams to score.
This feat has been achieved in both of Bodo/Glimt’s league phase matches thus far. It was also achieved in Galatasaray’s MD1 encounter away at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Both teams have been on the scoresheet regularly in the pair’s domestic matches too. Three of Galatasaray’s last four league matches have seen both teams score, and the same can be said for five of Bodo/Glimt’s last six matches in Norwegian competitions.
Although short-priced at 4/9, this looks to be a strong and safe pick on Wednesday.
Best Bet: Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 4/9
Monaco vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Tip (20:00 KO)
Next up, we’re backing Monaco to avoid defeat against Thomas Frank’s Tottenham.
As previously mentioned, Spurs were held to a stalemate by Bodo/Glimt last time out, and they head into this one off the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa on Sunday.
Across their last six matches in all competitions, the north Londoners have won just twice.
Frank’s men typically take a while to get going, but facing off against talented forwards such as Ansu Fati and Mika Biereth, Tottenham can’t afford to start slowly against Monaco.
Meanwhile, Monaco have lost just one of their last five matches in all competitions and fought from behind twice to seal a 2-2 draw against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on MD2.
Additionally, they are unbeaten in five consecutive matches at home this term (W3 D2). We believe that the Ligue 1 outfit will maintain this record with a win or a draw on Wednesday.
Best Bet: Monaco or Draw @ 4/7
Chelsea vs Ajax Betting Tip (20:00 KO)
Having extended their winning run to three consecutive matches with a 3-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, we’re backing Chelsea to comfortably prevail over Ajax on MD3.
They claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Jose Mourinho’s Benfica on MD2 and followed that up with an impressive 2-1 triumph over reigning English top-flight winners Liverpool four days later.
In the meantime, Ajax have been struggling both domestically and in Europe.
Johnny Heitinga’s side have suffered 2-0 and 4-0 losses against Inter Milan and Marseille thus far in the league phase and are without a win in three consecutive matches in all competitions.
The Eredivisie giants suffered a 2-0 home defeat by AZ Alkmaar in the league on Saturday.
At 8/11, we see strong value in backing the west London outfit to lead at both intervals.
Best Bet: Chelsea Half Time/Full Time @ 8/11
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool Betting Tip (20:00 KO)
Out-of-form Liverpool travel to Germany to take on Eintracht Frankfurt in their MD3 fixture, and we’re backing the Merseysiders to turn their fortunes around with a victory.
As previously alluded to, the Reds have now lost four consecutive matches in all competitions.
A 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace at the end of September kickstarted this poor run, followed by a 1-0 defeat by Galatasaray on MD2 and 2-1 defeats to Chelsea and Manchester United in the league.
Luckily for them though, Frankfurt are also in poor form. The Bundesliga outfit have managed just one win across their last five in all competitions and lost 5-1 to Atletico Madrid on MD2.
Liverpool, meanwhile, beat Atleti 3-2 at Anfield in their opening league phase fixture last month.
Eintracht Frankfurt are among the most entertaining teams to watch in Europe this term due to the high-scoring nature of their fixtures, and by combining an over 2.5 goals selection with a victory for the visitors, punters can back our best bet for this game at 20/23.
Best Bet: Liverpool to Win and Over 2.5 Goals @ 20/23
Real Madrid vs Juventus Betting Tip (20:00 KO)
Finally, we’ve selected Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe to score at any time against Juventus.
The Frenchman leads as the competition’s top goalscorer heading into MD3, having netted five goals in two matches thus far, including a hat-trick away at Kairat Almaty last time out.
He has since followed that up with goals and assists for both club and country, registering a goal and an assist in both fixtures against Villarreal and Azerbaijan, and added another goal to his tally in his side’s 1-0 win over Getafe in LaLiga on Sunday.
In total, he has 15 goals and two assists in 11 matches for Los Blancos thus far in 2025-26.
Clearly a man in form, we believe backing Mbappe to score is the best play in this fixture.
Best Bet: Kylian Mbappe to Score at Any Time @ 8/13
