Fresh off the back of his dominant victory over Dricus du Plessis at UFC 319, Khamzat Chimaev has not only won the UFC Middleweight Title, but has also jumped 10 spots in the latest UFC pound-for-pound rankings.
The 15-0 middleweight king has jumped from 14th to fourth in the latest rankings, overtaking some long-reigning champions such as Alexandre Pantoja and Alexander Volkanovski.
Khamzat Chimaev Jumps 10 Places In Updated UFC P4P Rankings
Following his emphatic display at UFC 319 where he captured the UFC Middleweight Title after dominating Dricus du Plessis, Khamzat Chimaev has climbed 10 spots in the latest UFC pound-for-pound rankings.
The new 185-pound king defeated the defending champion via comprehensive unanimous decision, winning every round to become the new belt holder at middleweight.
Chimaev’s record is now an impressive 15-0, remaining undefeated inside the octagon. Not only has ‘Borz’ become the latest fighter to win UFC gold, but he has also entered the Top 5 of the P4P rankings for the very first time.
Many people thought that Chimaev would beat du Plessis to win the UFC Middleweight Title, but not in the fashion he did it. If the 31-year-old was to win, the majority of fans thought it would come early via submission.
However, Chimaev proved that the doubts over his cardio are total myths, dominating the South African from start to finish for the full 25 minutes. You could argue that Chimaev barely even broke a sweat, dominating every single minute of the contest.
UFC betting sites did have the Russian-Emirati fighter as the pre-fight favourite, but he proved that he can win fights in a total different fashion. Chimaev has now shown he can submit and stop people in the first round, but has also shown he has what it takes to totally control a full 25 minute title fight.
In the aftermath of his emphatic display, Khamzat Chimaev has officially jumped a whopping 10 spots in the updated UFC P4P rankings.
‘Borz’ has overtaken the likes of long-reigning flyweight king Alexandre Pantoja, featherweight icon Alexandre Pantoja, heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall and two-division champion Alex Pereira to name but a few big names.

Khamzat Chimaev Now Ranked #4 In UFC Pound-For-Pound
After climbing 10 places in the latest UFC pound-for-pound rankings, this now means that Khamzat Chimaev has officially been placed at #4 in the updated list.
Now that he is the UFC Middleweight Champion, it comes as no surprise to see ‘Borz’ listed inside the top 10. However, a straight jump into the top five is an incredible achievement.
Chimaev has overtaken the likes of Alexandre Pantoja, Alexander Volkanovski, Alex Pereira and Tom Aspinall to name but a few elite fighters now behind the Russian-Emirati MMA phenom in the updated P4P rankings.
Now, only undefeated two-division champion Ilia Topuria, the great Islam Makhachev and dominant bantamweight king Merab Dvalishvilli are above Chimaev in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings.
Should Khamzat Chimaev’s next fight result in his first UFC Middleweight Title defence, he could even climb about Dvalishvilli into the top three.
This entirely depends on the manor of victory and who is in the opposite corner, but there is no doubt that ‘Borz’ will remain near the top of the UFC P4P rankings for quite some time now.
