Everyone knew a few golfers from the PGA Tour or the DP World Tour would jump ship to LIV Golf, but I’m not sure anyone thought the Saudi-backed series would steal this many notable stars.

And we’re not just talking about some of the older guys here. Sure, guys like Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, and Lee Westwood are big names, but all are well past their respective primes. Don’t let Lefty’s PGA Championship win in 2021 fool you — complete fluke. Impressive, sure. Still a fluke. But I digress.

No, we’re talking about major champions with plenty left in the tank. Guys like Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, and Patrick Reed. Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel, the first-ever LIV Golf winner, are also on the roster.

And we’re just going to see more and more players jump ship as time goes on. The money is ridiculous. The tournaments are shorter with 54 holes (LIV is the Roman numeral for 54 — so clever) and no cut. And there are fewer events to play than on the PGA Tour or DP World Tour.

So this roster will continue to grow. And we’ll continue to update our list here as things happen.
