This week sees the DP World India Championship take centre-stage on DP World Tour, with some of the world’s best golfers featuring at Delhi Golf Club.
Although not a totally star-studded field, there are still some huge names in action in New Delhi. Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood are just two of the standout names in action in India this week.
SportsCasting are on hand to provide both outright and each-way betting tips as well as in-depth analysis, predictions, a preview and the latest odds.
DP World India Championship Betting Tips
Although backing winners is tricky in the world of golf sometimes, our Ryder Cup betting tips were a success a fortnight ago after predicting Team Europe to win as underdogs and Tommy Fleetwood to be Europe’s top points scorer at 11/2.
Last week was also a relative success at the Open de Espana, with our 28/1 each-way shout Tom McKibbin finishing in solo fourth, this providing a winning prediction.
This week, we are back with a further three selections for the DP World India Championship on the European Tour. We have once again selected one outright betting tip and two each-way selections for this week’s event in the Indian capital.
They are as follows:
- Tommy Fleetwood WIN @ 11/2
- Thriston Lawrence E/W @ 45/1
- Julien Guerrier E/W @ 70/1
DP World India Championship Predictions
Tommy Fleetwood to Win @ 11/2
Team Europe’s Ryder Cup hero and reigning FedEx Cup champion Tommy Fleetwood is amongst the outright betting favourites for the DP World India Championship this week at odds of 11/2.
It’s clear to see why this is the case given Fleetwood’s recent form and stellar season. The Englishman won his first PGA Tour event at the Tour Championship, winning the season-long FedEx Cup in the process.
He has played just once since the Ryder Cup, finishing just outside the top 20 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. This week, he tees it up in India for the very first time and here at SportsCasting we fancy his chances for success.
Fleetwood is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world right now. He showed this at the Ryder Cup in New York, as well as throughout the PGA Tour season.
At odds of 11/2, Fleetwood’s odds are second just to good friend and fellow European Ryder Cup star Rory McIlroy. Sunday could well see a battle between the two for the title, but we feel Fleetwood could go all the way after 72-holes.
The last time we backed Fleetwood to win a tournament outright was with our Tour Championship betting tips, which saw the 34-year-old go on to win his first PGA Tour title. This week, he is sure to be there or there abouts once again.
Thriston Lawrence Each-Way @ 45/1
Our second selection of DP World India Championship betting tips sees South African golfer Thriston Lawrence selected as an each-way fancy at lucrative odds of 45/1.
Lawrence has shown on countless occasions that he has what it takes to win on the DP World Tour. He has five European Tour victories to his name, including just over a month ago at the Omega European Masters.
The 28-year-old can be inconsistent at times, but when he’s on song he is an exceptionally talented golfer.
Lawrence was in action last week at the Open de Espana last week in Madrid, finishing on -7 par in T23. Although he didn’t play his best golf, there were certainly some signs that he is knocking on the door of success once again.
As a multiple European Tour winner and naturally gifted player, Thriston Lawrence presents great each-way value to finish inside the top 10 this week at odds of 45/1.
Julien Guerrier Each-Way @ 70/1
With Rory McIlroy’s next tournament confirmed for this week in India, many people will feel the Northern Irishman is the man to beat at Delhi Golf Club.
This may well be the case, but at odds of 9/2 to win that is simply too short. Instead, looking for each-way value could be the way to go. Step forward Julien Guerrier, who is our third and final DP World India Championship betting tip.
The Frenchman finished in a tie for 16th last week at the Open de Espana, which was a reasonably strong showing at big odds.
Although we don’t see the 40-year-old winning this week in India, he is in reasonable form and most definitely has a chance of securing a top 10 finish.
If he does, his huge odds of 70/1 will prove fruitful for golf punters. Guerrier has won just once on the European Tour, but has won seven time in total as a professional.
He knows how to get it done and is a consistent player. Guerrier currently sits at 77th in the Race to Dubai standings, and a strong week here in Delhi will all but secure his place at the Abu Dhabi Championship and DP World Tour Championship in November.
At odds of 70/1, take Julien Guerrier to finish inside the top 10 as our third and final DP World India Championship betting tip.
DP World India Championship Preview
All eyes are on Delhi Golf Club this week for the inaugural DP World Tour Championship.
This is the first time the European Tour has ever headed to India, with several PGA Tour of India players in action too. In fact, 20+ PGA Tour of India regulars are teeing it up this week on home turf.
This tournament also marks the single biggest purse in India golf history, with £3m worth of DP World India Championship prize money up for grabs for the 70 players who make the 36-hole cut.
Not all of the leading DP World Tour players are in action this week, with the likes of Marco Penge, Tyrrell Hatton, Robert MacIntyre and Matt Fitzpatrick opting to miss this week’s tournament.
That being said, some of the biggest names in golf and best players on the planet are indeed teeing it up. This includes Europe’s two standout players from the 2025 Ryder Cup in Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood.
Both Fleetwood and McIlroy helped improve Europe’s Ryder Cup record when playing in America with victory at Bethpage Black, and both elite golfers are in action in Delhi this week for the very first time.
The DP World India Championship is a straight stroke-play event over 72 holes with a half-way cut. The final group are expected to tee off at approximately 11am on Sunday.
So, who will reign supreme at Delhi Golf Club this week and claim victory at the 2025 DP World India Championship come Sunday after 72 holes?
